Golden Promise Malt

Characteristics

Golden Promise is a multi use base malt, light (1.1L) base malt variety that can be used in place of 2 Row or Pilsner malt.
It has a clean, somewhat sweet flavor.
Golden Promise can be used in many beers, especially lighter beers like German Lager, Czech Pils. It also has a place in Belgian beers and the IPA style.

Grain Bill

10 lbs. - Golden Promise Malt
1/2 lb. - Victory Malt (40L)
1/4 lb. - Chocolate Malt
1/8 lb. - Peated Malt

Hop Schedule (22 IBU)

1 oz - East Kent Goldings hops (60 min.)
1 oz - East Kent Goldings hops (2 min.)

Yeast

White Labs Edinburgh Ale Yeast (WLP028) - 1800 ml starter

Mash/Sparge/Boil

Mash at 152° to 154° for 60 min.
Sparge as usual
Boil for a total of 90 Minutes
Cool and ferment at 67° to 70°
